Day 3 of the Mommy Shape-Up
I decided that as soon as I got home from work yesterday afternoon, before I got lost in shuttling kids to and from practices and games and before I got caught up making dinner and folding laundry, that I would go ahead and get my run out of the way. Note to self- It is very hot outside at 3:30 pm. I think I might have lost five pounds just in sweat. I have to say that it really did feel good to spend the rest of the evening knowing that I had already done it. My team, which on day one consisted of most of my children and on day two had dwindled down to one child riding beside

I'm turning my Super Hero status over to my two daughters
Superman, Captain America and Wonder Woman all had to have those moments where they weren’t in the crime fighting, life saving “Super Hero” mode. Certainly every once in a while Batman took the afternoon off to wash the Batmobile or Aquaman took a day off from spending so much time in the water. I am sure that Spiderman had nights where he was just to worn out to climb one more building. Or maybe I just need to believe that because apparently I have lost the “Super Hero” status that I had previously held in the eyes of my children. You see, I am not a morning person.

Maybe College Football Teams need a Team Mom- I'm up for the job!
In light of some of the problems that some college football teams have had with a few players, I have come to the conclusion that what they need is a team mom. After all, all six of my kids are playing sports this year and these young kids seem to have a basic understanding of what it means to be a part of the team and what is expected of them as well as the consequences for breaking the rules and being a poor sport.
